Bryan Michell, Charity Coordinator
Bryan helps the trustees to run the charity. The trustees tell Bryan what needs to be done to keep improving My Life My Choice and Bryan works with the staff to make sure the trustees wishes come true. It is also his job to raise the money to pay the staff, pay for the My Life My Choice projects, and to pay the rent. Outside of work Bryan likes to run, swim, read and sleep.
Kate Tokley, Campaigns and Communications Coordinator
Kate looks after the My Life My Choice website and social networks, and helps to promote My Life My Choice in the media. It’s her job to tell people how good My Life My Choice is. She also organises My Life My Choice campaigning. Outside of work she likes craft, reading and going to the gym.
Chris Alexander, Inspections Coordinator
Chris manages all of our inspections work: Quality Checkers, Care and Treatment Reviews, and visits with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Paul Haines, Travel Buddy Coordinator
Paul looks after and coordinates the travel training scheme. It is Paul’s job to recruit travel buddy trainers, so they can train travel buddies how to travel independently. Paul would like as many people as possible to be able to travel to places independently to gain more opportunities, feel empowered and gain confidence. Outside of work Paul likes cycling, playing his guitar and cooking. (But not all at the same time.)
Jess Tilling, Power Up Coordinator
Jess looks after our Power Up training. It is her job to make sure our training is the best it can be. Jess also looks after our Easy Read service and our consultancy work. It’s her job to get us more business. Outside of work she likes martial arts, being creative and singing.
Lydia Nabuuma, Finance and Administration Worker
Lydia looks after the charity’s money, and does important things like making sure our staff and members get paid. She is responsible for the financial accounting of the Charity. She loves flowers a lot and outside work likes watching Fashion TV, travelling and reading anything motivational.
Ruth SW
Ruth Shaw-Williams, Lead Session Worker
Ruth facilitates our groups in Banbury and Chipping Norton, as well as acting as the lead for all our groups work. When she’s not facilitating groups she works as an Artist specializing in Artists’ Books and Printmaking. She loves cycling, reading and long walks in the beautiful countryside near where she lives.

Ros Barresi, Session Worker
Ros facilitates our groups in Henley and Wantage. She also works as a complementary therapist and nutritionist in mainstream services, corporate, and with individual clients as well as specialised areas like substance misuse, mental health and autism. She recently began writing about her subject matter for Practice Management Magazine which is for GP surgeries.
Tina Dialektaki, Session Worker and Stingray Coordinator
Tina facilitates our groups in Oxford and Oxford City College. She also helps the Stingray team manage our monthly nightclub.
Paula Evans, Session Worker
Paula facilitates our Oxford Young People’s Group. She also works alongside families supporting them in their homes as well as in various parenting groups in Oxfordshire. Her hobbies include listening to bands, mooching in her garden and spending time with her family and friends.
Hayley Reynalds, Session Worker
Hayley facilitates our groups in Abingdon and Didcot. She also works as a swimming teacher working with children and adults, teaching aqua aerobics and SynchroFitness and coaching open water swimmers.
Peter Zaagman, Session Worker
Peter facilitates our group in Wantage. Peter is originally from the Netherlands and came to Oxford in 1981. Peter qualified as a learning disability nurse, and after 6 years of practice in the UK became a nursing lecturer at Oxford Brookes University. He likes cats, gardening, eating out and travelling.
