Leave a Lasting Impact this Remember a Charity Week!

This week (7 to 13 September 2026) marks Remember a Charity Week, a time when we come together to celebrate the incredible impact that gifts in wills have on charities across the UK. At My Life My Choice, we want to take this opportunity to talk about what leaving a legacy means for the people we support.
What is a Legacy?
A legacy is simply a gift left to a charity in your will. Making a will is an important step in life to ensure you get to choose what happens to your estate, but it’s also a powerful way to support the causes you hold closest to your heart.
The wonderful thing about leaving a gift in your will is that it won’t cost you anything during your lifetime. However, for My Life My Choice, it means that people with learning disabilities will continue to have their voices heard long after you are gone. It is a fantastic way to ensure we can continue our vital work and improve lives for many generations to come.
We can help you write your Will for free
We know that writing a will can sometimes feel like a daunting task. That’s why, as a My Life My Choice supporter, you are eligible for a free, legally-binding Will through our partnership with FreeWills.co.uk.
Their award-winning online service means you can complete your will in just fifteen minutes. Best of all, every will is checked by legal experts, and you can update it quickly and easily for free, forever. While there is absolutely no obligation to leave a gift to us when you use this service, we sincerely hope you might consider it so we can keep our important work going.
